About this opportunity
The YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa, hosted at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Accra, has trained more than 7,800 young leaders from nine West African countries under the U.S. Government's Young African Leaders Initiative. Its Emerging Leaders Program serves people aged 18-35 in three tracks (Business and Entrepreneurship, Civic Leadership, Public Management), delivered as an eight-week online course or as two weeks online plus three weeks in person in Accra, historically with costs covered.
Status caution: the official website (yaliwestafrica.net) redirected to an unrelated site when checked on 21 August 2026, the GIMPA page was last updated for Cohort 43 (August 2023), and only aggregators mention later cohorts (e.g., Cohort 52 in 2025). No current application window, funding or eligibility list could be verified officially.
