Cookie Policy
v1.0Effective: June 12, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly and give site owners information about how the site is used. eStudent 360 uses essential cookies for the platform to work, and optional analytics cookies that you can turn on or off.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| auth-storage | Maintains your login session | Session |
| locale | Remembers your language preference | 1 year |
| theme | Remembers your light/dark mode preference | 1 year |
| cookie_consent | Stores your cookie preferences | 1 year |
2.2 Analytics Cookies (Optional)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the platform so we can improve it. They are only set if you explicitly opt in through the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| analytics_consent | eStudent 360 | Records your analytics opt-in choice | 1 year |
| ga, ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Aggregated, de-identified usage measurement | Up to 2 years |
| ph_* | PostHog | Product analytics to understand feature usage | Up to 1 year |
3. Analytics Providers
When you opt in to analytics, we use the following providers to measure and improve the platform:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Provided by Google. GA4 helps us understand aggregated traffic and feature usage. It only loads with your analytics consent. Google's handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- PostHog: Product analytics that helps us see which features are useful and where people get stuck. It only loads with your analytics consent and receives usage events, not the content of your private messages.
We configure these tools to minimize the personal data they receive. For more detail on how analytics fits into our overall data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
4. What We Do Not Use
- No third-party advertising cookies.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No selling or trading of your personal data.
- No analytics at all unless you opt in.
5. Managing Your Cookies
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time:
- Cookie banner: Use the cookie consent banner that appears on your first visit to set your preferences, and reopen it to change them later.
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings.
- Device settings: Mobile devices typically allow cookie management in system settings.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent the platform from functioning correctly. Declining or blocking analytics cookies will not affect your experience.
6. PWA & Mobile
If you use eStudent 360 as a Progressive Web App (PWA) or mobile client, we use localStorage instead of cookies for preferences. The same consent and privacy principles apply.
7. Third-Party Services
Some third-party services integrated with eStudent 360 may set their own cookies (for example, the analytics providers above or video-calling providers). These cookies are governed by the respective third party's cookie and privacy policies. We minimize third-party integrations to protect your privacy.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove cookies. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
9. Contact
For questions about our use of cookies, contact us at privacy@estudent360.com. For more about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
