About this opportunity
The UN Secretariat Internship Programme gives students from diverse academic backgrounds exposure to the United Nations through assignments in Secretariat offices (New York, Geneva, Nairobi, Vienna, Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Santiago, Beirut and field duty stations). Internships last two to six months, normally full-time, and are advertised continuously as job openings on careers.un.org (Inspira).
Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate programme, in the final year of a first university degree, or have graduated and be able to start within one year of graduation; have a strong command of English or French; and not be the child or sibling of a UN Secretariat staff member. Internships are unpaid: interns or their sponsors cover travel, visas, accommodation, medical insurance and living expenses. No nationality restriction applies, so Ghanaians are eligible.
