About this opportunity

UNICEF offers internships in its country offices, regional offices and headquarters (and sometimes remotely) to give students and recent graduates practical experience in UNICEF's work for children. Internships last six to twenty-six weeks, full- or part-time, and are advertised throughout the year on the UNICEF jobs portal; only shortlisted candidates are contacted.

Applicants must be at least 18; enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or PhD programme or graduated within the past two years; proficient in English, French or Spanish; have strong academic performance and motivation; and have no immediate relatives working at UNICEF. No nationality restriction is stated, so Ghanaians are eligible. UNICEF pays interns a monthly stipend and may grant a one-time lump sum towards travel and visa costs when funding allows; other costs are borne by the intern.
