- Not currently a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holder at the same level (restrictions apply); bachelor's-level applicants need a secondary school leaving certificate, master's applicants a bachelor's degree

About this opportunity
Stipendium Hungaricum is Hungary's flagship scholarship, based on bilateral agreements with 100+ partners, covering around 900 mostly English-taught programmes. Ghana is a sending partner: Ghanaians may apply for bachelor's and master's programmes in agriculture, humanities, social science, computer science/IT, law, economics, engineering, health sciences, public governance, sport science, natural science and arts, and for PhDs in any field.
Apply online at apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu and also submit the application to the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat, which nominates candidates; universities then hold entrance exams (minimum 56/100). Scholars get tuition-free study, a stipend of HUF 43,700 a month (bachelor's/master's) or HUF 140,000-180,000 (PhD), a dormitory place or HUF 40,000 monthly housing contribution, and medical insurance - officially only a contribution to living costs.
