Standard Chartered Women in Tech Accelerator Ghana

The Standard Chartered Foundation Women in Tech Accelerator is an annual philanthropic programme for young women entrepreneurs, led by the Standard Chartered Foundation with Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC and Village Capital, and implemented in Ghana by Ashesi University's Ghana Climate Innovation Centre. It exists to close the growth gap facing women founders by combining catalytic grant funding with structured business training and mentorship. Since 2020 the programme reports 83 businesses supported across cohorts 1 to 5, USD 210,000 received by businesses as grants, 166 jobs created, GHS 3.9 million in cumulative revenue and founders from 10 of Ghana's 16 regions, with those figures cumulative to March 2026.

To apply you must be a Ghanaian woman owning at least 50 per cent of a registered business, have a business that has operated for at least 12 months, use technology or innovation in your product or service, demonstrate social, economic or environmental impact, and commit to full participation in the incubation process. Selected participants receive a "Mini MBA" in business development, leadership and digital innovation, one-on-one advisory sessions with industry experts, masterclasses and networking, and legal, financial and technology development support; they can then pitch for up to USD 10,000 in equity-free grants. Cohort 6 said five standout ventures would earn USD 10,000 grants.

Cohort 6 gave priority to women entrepreneurs living with disabilities and founders from historically underserved regions - Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah and Central - and women with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications for that cohort were open from 2 March to 27 March 2026 through the programme's portal at scwomenintechgh.com, so the round has closed; the programme has run annually since 2020, and cohort announcements appear on the same site each spring.
