About this opportunity
The Pan African University is the African Union's postgraduate network. Its institutes offer funded master's and PhD programmes: PAULESI, Nigeria (geosciences, health sciences, plant breeding, environmental management, medicinal plants, sports management); PAUGHSS, Cameroon (governance, interpreting, translation, transborder languages); PAUWES, Algeria (water, energy, climate change); PAUSTI, Kenya (science, technology, innovation; not admitting in 2026).
Applicants must be young nationals of AU member states or the Diaspora: master's applicants not older than 25 (men) or 28 (women) with at least a second-class upper bachelor's; PhD applicants not older than 28 (men) or 30 (women) with a relevant master's. The AU Commission offers full scholarships. The 2026-2027 call ran 15 Nov to 15 Dec 2025; the next is expected in November 2026.

Master's: certified copies of certificates and transcripts, passport or national ID, passport photograph, CV, one recommendation letter from a former university lecturer, and names/contacts (email and WhatsApp) of three referee lecturers.
