- Desire and commitment to return home after graduation to contribute to Africa's economic growth and social development
About this opportunity
Through the Africa Health Collaborative, the University of Toronto offers Mastercard Foundation scholarships for professional master's programs: Master of Engineering (Biomedical), Master of Financial Insurance, MHSc Health Administration, MHSc Health Informatics, MPH Health Promotion and MPH Occupational and Environmental Health (2026-27 list). Scholars receive full financial assistance: travel to Canada (incl. passport and visa fees), tuition, housing, a food stipend, health insurance and learning materials.
Eligibility (2026-27): citizen of and residing in a Sub-Saharan African country; graduating or graduated from a partner institution (Addis Ababa University, AIMS, African Leadership University, Amref International University, Ashesi University, KNUST, Moi University, University of Cape Town) and not yet started graduate studies; under 35; academic excellence and leadership.
