About this opportunity
KNUST has partnered with the Mastercard Foundation since 2014; Phase II (2019-2029) targets 1,500 Scholars, about 20% of them international. The scholarship is for first-time undergraduate entrants with valid WASSCE, GBCE, ABCE or GCE O/A Level results (not older than five years; no awaiting results) who meet KNUST admission requirements, demonstrate critical economic need and have proven leadership and community engagement. Priority goes to females, certified refugees and internally displaced persons, and persons with disability.
The package covers full tuition, paid on-campus accommodation, learning materials, transportation and a monthly stipend, plus counselling, mentoring, career development, internships and a give-back component. Applicants must also apply to KNUST for admission. The 2025/2026 call used a hard-copy form sent by courier; there are no fees or agents.
