About this opportunity
Ashesi was one of the nine founding partners of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program in 2012. There is no separate application: you apply for admission to Ashesi and complete the financial-aid form, and the Admissions and Financial Aid Office decides which award, including the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program award, you receive. All Ashesi undergraduate scholarships are need-based; applicants are ranked within need categories on the strength of their admission application.
The award covers all fees, room and board and learning resources, plus socio-economic support for the transition into Ashesi and into careers; Scholars give back through community service. Ghanaian applicants need WASSCE with at least C6 in six subjects (or IB, A Levels) and may apply while awaiting results. Ashesi has September and January intakes with rounds closing in June, August, October and December.
