About this opportunity
The Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), founded by Kosmos Energy in Ghana, runs the AgriTech Challenge to get young people building businesses across the agricultural value chain 'from farm to fork'. The AgriTech Challenge Classic is 'a 7-month annual training program' for tertiary students and young graduates; individuals form teams and pitch for the Pro. The AgriTech Challenge Pro is 'a 5-month acceleration program' for operational start-ups (under three years old, up to four founders) with incubation, mentorship and investor linkages; 'Winning startups would receive up to $50,000 in seed funding (grant)'.
Participants 'should be between 18 to 35 years of age' and be tertiary students or graduates; training is free (transport not covered), online and at the KIC hub in Accra. The 2026 Pro call opened in May 2026 for Food Innovation and Agri-Machinery start-ups.
