About this opportunity
GETFund's scholarship programme supports 'brilliant but needy' Ghanaians at undergraduate and postgraduate level, prioritising STEM, TVET, special-needs and national-priority programmes and public tertiary lecturers. Its flagship call is the annual Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship: applicants must be Ghanaian, hold an unconditional or financially-conditional admission letter from an accredited university, have at least a second-class first degree (Master's), be able to start in the year applied for, and not already be pursuing a Master's or PhD.
Foreign awards 'typically cover tuition, accommodation, and sometimes stipend'; local scholarships cover 'Tuition Fees Only'. Awards last the programme duration subject to performance and cannot be deferred; only one Government of Ghana scholarship may be held. The 2026/27 foreign window ran 13-30 April 2026.
