About this opportunity

Each year the Ghana Scholarships Authority (formerly Scholarships Secretariat) invites qualified Ghanaian students to apply for Chinese Government Scholarship awards at Chinese universities under the CSC bilateral programme (Type A, Agency Number 2881). The 2026/27 call covered master's and PhD levels; awards are 'very limited' and only shortlisted applicants are interviewed.

Eligibility (2026/27): Ghanaian citizen resident in Ghana; first degree with at least 2nd Class Upper in a relevant field (plus a relevant master's for PhD); not above 35 (master's) or 40 (doctoral); medically fit; women encouraged. Complete the CSC online form at campuschina.org, then send hard copies (certificates, transcripts, 800-word study plan, two professor references, CV, ID documents) to the Registrar, P.O. Box M75, Accra. CSC full scholarships cover tuition, housing, stipend and insurance, not airfare.

The Ghana notice does not itemise benefits. The CSC 'full scholarship' (Type A) covers tuition waiver, on-campus accommodation, a monthly living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance; a Chinese Embassy 2026/2027 CGS notice states it 'Does not include international travel expenses'.
