About this opportunity
The CGRS D supports high-calibre doctoral students in health, natural sciences and engineering, and social sciences and humanities (including interdisciplinary research) at Canadian institutions, valued at CAD 40,000 per year for 36 months.
Applicants who are not Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons 'must be registered in your doctoral program of study at an eligible Canadian institution by the application deadline'; up to 15% of awards go to international applicants. Applicants must have completed no more than 36 months of full-time-equivalent doctoral study by 31 December of the application year and must not have held a Tri-agency doctoral award before (including a Vanier CGS). Apply through your institution (internal deadlines often in September) or directly to the agency by 17 October; results by 30 April.
