About this opportunity

Africa's Business Heroes is a philanthropic prize competition for African entrepreneurs. Each year ten finalists share USD 1.5 million in grants: USD 300,000 (1st), 250,000 (2nd), 150,000 (3rd) and 100,000 each for 4th-10th, plus training funds and lifelong access to the ABH network and mentorship.

Applicants must be founders/co-founders with African citizenship (or a parent or grandparent with African citizenship) whose business is headquartered in Africa, operates mainly in Africa and has at least three years of operations and revenue history. All sectors, ages and genders are eligible. Applications (English or French) include a government ID, business registration or proof of 3+ years of operation and a founder video of up to 90 seconds. Selection runs from screening and semi-finals to a Top 10 grand finale. The 2026 deadline was 7 May 2026; the 2027 round is expected around March.
