Call for Mentors 2026

eStudent 360 is looking for mentors.

In short:

• Any field, any career stage, anywhere in the world; you must be 21 or over and willing to be verified.
• A few hours a month, on the platform, at times you and the student choose.
• Many students are 12 to 17, so verification, guardian approval and on-platform conversations are not optional.
• Applications are open now with no closing date.

We are not looking for careers advisers, and you do not need your life fully worked out. What a fifteen-year-old needs is someone who has actually been where they are trying to go, and who will say what it was really like: the parts that were harder than people admit, and the parts that turned out not to matter.

Who we are looking for

We welcome applications from people in any field, at any stage of their career, anywhere in the world. That includes people early in a career, who often remember the decisions most clearly.

You should be:

• At least 21 years old.
• Willing to be verified before you meet any student. Everyone is.
• Able to give a few hours. Not every week, and not on a fixed schedule.

What mentoring looks like here

You are matched with a student whose interests line up with your experience. You talk on the platform, in messages or in a scheduled video session, at times you both choose.

Sessions are short and practical. A student might be choosing subjects, comparing two programmes, weighing up whether an application is worth the effort, or trying to understand what a job is actually like once you have it. One clear conversation often does more than a term of guesswork.

You are not expected to have every answer. Saying "I do not know, but here is who would" is a good answer.

How we keep students safe

Many of our students are between 12 and 17, so the safeguards are not optional and they apply to you as much as to them:

• Every mentor is verified before being matched. That includes identity verification, a reference check, and a review of the experience you describe.
• A student under 18 cannot start mentoring until their guardian has approved it.
• Mentoring stays on the platform. Mentors must not move a student to a personal phone number, a social account, or a private chat.
• Messages pass through a safety check, and anyone can report a concern at any time.

If that sounds strict, it is meant to. It is also what makes it possible for a parent to say yes.

What you get

Mentoring is unpaid. What you get is the thing most people say they wanted when they were seventeen: a straight answer from someone who had already done it.

You also get a record of your contribution, which is worth something for graduate applications, scholarships, fellowships and board roles that ask about service.

It is also worth knowing what students are actually deciding. Most arrive with a choice between programmes or a career shortlist that is much shorter than the real map, and the useful thing you have is a description of your ordinary working week.

How to apply

Applications are open now and reviewed as they arrive. There is no closing date.

Apply through the mentor application form. You will be asked about your field, your experience, and the kinds of questions you are comfortable answering. Do I need to be a teacher or careers adviser? No. You need to have done the thing a student is trying to do, and to be willing to describe it honestly.

How much time does it take? A few hours a month. Sessions are usually thirty to forty-five minutes, and you set your own availability.

Is it paid? No. Mentoring on eStudent360 is voluntary and free for students. You receive a record of your contribution.

Can I mentor from outside Ghana or Canada? Yes. Mentors join from anywhere; students are matched on subject, language and availability.
