The Ghana Scholarships Secretariat has announced that applications are now open for local tertiary scholarships for the 2023/24 academic year.
According to a statement released on the Secretariat’s website, the scholarship application portal opened on December 28th, 2023, and will remain open until January 31st, 2024. Interested applicants can apply through the Secretariat’s website at www.scholarshipgh.com.
To be eligible, applicants must provide scanned copies of their admission letter, academic certificates, and transcripts. They must also complete an online application form, aptitude test, and attend an in-person interview in their district.
The Secretariat emphasized that the application process is free and students should not pay any individuals or third-party groups claiming to facilitate applications.
The Scholarships Secretariat awards several thousand scholarships every year to high-achieving Ghanaian students to study at local universities and colleges. The scholarships cover tuition, accommodation, books, and other expenses.
